CFO / Finance Manager


Client Description:

We are recruiting on behalf of a global leader in real estate and professional services, seeking an experienced CFO / Finance Manager to lead the finance function. This pivotal role involves overseeing financial operations, controlling, reporting, and providing strategic financial support across the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and supervise the Financial Controlling team, ensuring optimal performance and delivery of financial reports and analyses.
  • Financial Controlling & Analysis: Design and implement processes and analyses in financial controlling to improve efficiency and support business growth.
  • Group Reporting: Oversee and manage the preparation of group reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Financial Statements: Supervise the preparation of financial statements, including consolidated statements, in line with applicable accounting standards.
  • Revenue Recognition & Internal Control: Oversee internal controls related to revenue recognition and provide advisory support to business departments during the transactional process.
  • Group Relations: Serve as the primary liaison with the Capital Group on financial management, group reporting, internal controls, and financial analysis.
  • Tax Compliance: Coordinate and/or prepare tax calculations, including deferred tax, for group reporting, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations.
  • Business Advisory: Provide ongoing advisory to business departments on financial matters, assisting in decision-making and financial planning.
  • Contract Review: Support the analysis of agency, advisory, and sales contracts from both financial and tax perspectives, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
  • Cash Flow Management: Assist in managing cash flow across the business, preparing detailed cash flow analyses and reports to guide decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Lead or contribute to the design and implementation of finance-related processes, ensuring strong controls and alignment with business needs.
  • Systems Implementation: Participate in projects related to implementing and testing financial and controlling systems, including financial-accounting and transactional systems.
  • Accounting Support: Provide expert guidance and assistance to the accounting department on complex financial matters.
  • Client Meetings: Participate in client meetings and calls related to financial matters and project settlements, offering strategic financial insights.
  • Financial Modeling: Design or prepare financial models (e.g., POC, remuneration structures, tax models) to support business initiatives.
  • Executive Support: Provide daily support to the Finance Director on financial strategy and execution.
  • SAP Integration (Preferred): Experience with SAP integration is highly valued in this role.
  • CSRD Reporting (Preferred): Experience with Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) reporting is a plus.


Candidate Profile:

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a CFO, Finance Manager, or senior finance role, preferably within real estate or professional services.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing financial teams and controlling functions.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and group reporting processes.
  • Solid understanding of financial systems and tools, with a preference for SAP experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive process improvements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
